Supplements for beginners in Nepal

You do not need a shelf of tubs to start. Food, training and sleep do most of the work. If you want to add supplements, here is a sensible order.

Start with the basics

Eat enough protein and calories, train with a plan, and sleep well. No supplement fixes a poor routine.

A sensible buying order

  • Protein powder, only if you cannot reach your protein from food.
  • Creatine monohydrate, the most researched and usually the best value.
  • Pre-workout, only if you want extra energy for training and you handle caffeine well.
  • Everything else, such as BCAAs and fat burners, can wait. Most beginners do not need them.

Watch your budget

Spend on a good, authentic basic product before you buy many products. One well-chosen tub is better than five random ones.

Safety

Follow the label. Be careful with caffeine if you are sensitive, and do not mix several products that each contain caffeine. Ask a doctor if you have a health condition or are under 18. This is general information, not medical advice.

Questions

What supplement should a beginner take first?

Often protein powder if food falls short, or creatine monohydrate. Neither is required.

Do I need a pre-workout?

No. It is optional. If you take one, start with a small amount and check the caffeine.

Can I start supplements at 17?

Ask a doctor or parent first. Under 18, food and training should come first.
